The product as made is useless on .223 or any small mouth cartridges. The rod, correctly installed per instructions, moves too much side to side and catches on the mouth of the case, making is useless for powder checking. It appears the plastic insert for rifle use allows way to much movement of the powder check rod. If, possibly, there was a way to hold that rifle insert piece snug against the die, it could possible keep the rod from moving so much. Problem is whatever the weight, it could not be magnetic. There needs to be a fix to make this a worthwhile powder check for .223/5.56 cases.

Excellent product. A must have with the DAA holster

Work perfect und very durable. Very solid und the drum feels like for heavy duty. Usage: I use 1kg of Iron-Pins with 3x Tablespoon Dishwashing liquid, 3x Tablespoon rinse aid an 2 tablespoon citric acid (e.x. lemonshine) and tumble it for 2,5 hours. With this cleaning Solution (clean and shiny brasses) i get the same results like with the "lyman turbo case cleaner" but much cheaper. i hope i can help you with this information.
