Très bon sac, solide, ni trop grand, ni trop petit!

DAA Automatic Brass Marker

A very clever and well made machine. The bright stripes make the shells more visible against the gravel on the ground at the range. It does require a bit of tweaking and adjustment on initial set up to get it working properly but for me that is part of the fun. It handled 38 spl wadcutter cartridges perfectly out of the box, 45ACP SWC with some minor Sharpie adjustment and 32S&W long wadcutters with the addition of a small baffle to eliminate the occasional jam with the carrier drum. It also helps to have some additional weight on the pens for good marking. As per the instructions, it is important to break-in the tips of the pens so they will mark consistently. It can now run any of the shell sizes, 32,38 & 45 without additional adjustments. I tried paint markers which also work well but require additional time in the collection hopper undisturbed while the paint dries, otherwise it transfers to everything it touches and makes a mess. Well adjusted Sharpie markers work as well with no extra drying time. I do however, now get a lot of friendly ribbing at the range on how long it must take me to hand draw the stripes on each shell.

Saves a lot of time on the range. No brainer purchase if you are training a lot. If you don't just buy the tape but be ready to lose time while you could be training.

DAA Range Companion Backpack
7 May 2024
I needed a new range bag but wasn't thrilled by the other products available on the market due to their size and carry method. This bag fits my hearing protection, goggles and other stuff I need every time but now I can also throw in different set of mags or guns and find everything in its place immediately, even in low light. The rain cover is a needed addition and I can also fit a three litre water bladder in there, so I have drinking water with me. Front pocket fits at least three cartons of 9mm ammo and the bottom compartment fits three guns stacked in individual cases. Also, with a little bit of squeezing, I was able to fit a CS Shadow 2 standard case in there. Side pockets hold patch/paster dispenser, tools, gun oil and rags and every other small thing I need. The rain cover is rather easy to rip since it is attached to the bag permanently with a strap, so my suggestion is either to use decent force when pulling the cover out or to snip it apart from the bag with scissors. The other grief I have is the false bottom within the bag. It is in place using velcro that is not too heavy duty in nature so you can't really put anything heavy through the top without it falling to the bottom. Again, not necessarily an issue, just a matter of learning how to pack. Overall, a very functional but still very nice looking bag.

DAA Dry-Fire Practice Magazine
6 May 2024
I bought two practice mags for my Staccato XL and they serve their purpose quite well. They have the weight of a fully loaded 9mm magazine. The XL is single-action only, so I just use the magazines for dry-fire reload, holster draw and sight indexing drills.
