Description:

The DAA Output Chute can be attached to any reloading press, hanging onto the same bracket which usually holds the Akro-Bin, and replacing it.

The long, 120cm (47") feed spring enables you to run the ammo down to a container on the floor, sparing you the need to empty that bin as you reload, and uncluttering your reloading press.

This Output Chute is also designed to clip on below the output ramp of the DAA Automatic Brass Marker, and can be used there to output the ammo down to a container on the floor or below your workbench.

This Chute has been tested to work perfectly with all pistol caliber ammo (9-40), although some types of 0.45 bullets have been seen to hang up occasionally. It works well with .223 rifle ammo too. It is designed to handled loaded ammo, not brass, which is more likely to hang-up.

Angled 20* too shallow to be used on a Dillon RL1100. Rounds get stuck in the plastic part of the chute and rarely go down the spring. I'll be ordering a different option.

DAA Reply: we don’t believe any static electricity that could build up during the sliding of the bullet down the spring could make the round go off.
Possibly an impact on the primer could do that, so it is always wise not allow to rounds to slide too quickly down the spring – best to angle it so they do not accelerate too much.
The faster the bullets are moving, the higher the risk of a primer going off when they hit into one another.

Original review:
I was very happy with this device until after about 1000 rounds dropped into my ammo can, a round went off in the tube. It was not hit by any other round and the primer was still intact. Three rounds later, it happened again. I believe static built up somehow during the trip down the tube causing the rounds to go off. I have pictures but can’t upload them here. The bullet bounced off my leg but didn’t penetrate.

I’ve been running a Hornady LnL with a Mr. BulletFeeder, and it turns out loaded rounds so fast I’m forever managing/emptying the output bin. Upon purchasing/using the DAA Output Chute & spring, I discovered that this inexpensive item has been some of the best money I’ve spent in a long time . . . 1K+ loading sessions without needing to give a moment of thought to loaded rounds!! I simply modified the lid to a container to accept the output spring so it’s really just a matter of pulling the handle. Just buy it you will not be disappointed.

Works just fine on my Hornady AP. No more overflowing bins in a long loading session. This directs everything to a large tub I placed on the floor, and i deal with everything at the end. Great!

I couldn’t get it to not jam up. I tried putting the spring all the way in and out and no difference. I’m going to use the spring with my rollsizer instead of the tube.
